I am descended from Elizabeth Dowd, daughter of Richard Dowd and Catherine Buckley, baptised 24 May 1833 at Rochfortbridge and emigrated to America with her sister in Jun 1854. Richard Dowd and Catherine Buckley married 31 Jul 1830 at Rochfortbridge (from Roots Ireland). Richard may have been born in 1805 and may have died in 1872. Catherine may have been born in 1807 and may have died Jan-Mar 1882.. Richard was listed in Griffiths Valuation (printed 1854) living in Kilbride on lot 22a
Hi. I am searching for anyone who is related to my paternal grandfather. His name was Bernard Joseph Solan and he was born in 1919. His fathers name was John Solan, a constable, and his mothers name was Margaret Reilly. He also had 1 sister that I am aware of - she became a nun, however I do not know her name. Being that my grandfather was a devout Catholic and from a very devout Catholic family, I am sure that he must of had other siblings. I would like to know more about my great-grandparents and as far back into the family tree as possible.
I am searching for any relatives of my great-grandfather, Marian Kelley. We believe he left Ireland around 1870-1880 and came to America on a British ship. He married and had a family but both he and his wife died fairly young due to an accident. Because of this my grandfather, Elzie Kelley didn't have any information to pass on. We know he had siblings in Ireland and thought they lived in a farm somewhere southwest of Dublin. My 86 yr old mother, Geraldine Kelley has always wished to find her relatives from Ireland and connect with them.
I'm researching my great grand-father Neil Begley (born 1840), who put Temple House, Sligo as his address when he immigrated to Australia, somewhere around 1861 at the age of 21. I'm not sure if he was born in Ireland or had come for work. Any information would be appreciated.
Anne O'Shea (nee Begley)
I'm researching my husbands great grand-parents, Cornelius O'Shea (born 1832) and Mary nee Larkin (born 1835), who married on the 08-02-1861 in Aglish parish, Kerry.
This information came from Ancestry.com and family. I would appreciate any information as to how and why they came to Australia at that time and indeed any further information about the O'Shea and Larkin family links in Ireland.
Thank you to everyone who has helped me with my search for my grandfather, Martin Henry Kennedy. Now I am trying to find information about Martin's mother, who is from "Farmon" and was married to Anthony Kennedy. According to a church marriage record I found, they married in Kilmore Erris on Feb. 11, 1873. But I have seen spellings for Mary Reily and Mary Reilly. Anthony was from the town of Cross.

I hope I'm doing this correctly. I am searching for Barthomew Collins who died about 1847 and his wife Ellen Donovan who died about 1857. The information from an intestate document relating to the death of their son Timothy, leads us to believe they are buried in Caheragh. They had several Children - Timothy born about 1828, Jeremiah 1830, Catherine 1832, Margaret 1834, and Johanna 1844. We are visiting Ireland this coming April-May and would be interested to see their graves if they still exist. We would also be interested in any information that cou
