Jeremiah Lynch, clerk, circa 1795 - 1855

IrishGreatGrands's picture

My great great great grandparents, Jeremiah Lynch and Mary Lucey of Quaker Street, married in St. Finbarr's S. Parish, Cork in 1814.  Three of their children: Daniel, Mark, and John were also baptised there in the 1820s.  There were other children including Ellen, Eliza, and possibly Margaret who may have been baptised somewhere else.  In 1850, Daniel emigrated to NSW Australia. Mark and Eliza also emigrated to Australia.   In 1859, Mary Lynch died in London at the home of their daughter Ellen Riviere (nee Lynch).

Dowd and Coffey Families of Athlone

IrishGreatGrands's picture

My great great great grandparents were John Dowd and Belinda (Bella) nee Coffey of Athlone.  John Dowd kept the Dowd Hotel in Athlone in the late 1830s.  Four of their daughters emigrated to New South Wales aboard the Cornwall in 1850. Belinda died on Castle Street, a widow in December 1856.  I am looking for a record of John Dowd's death and other descendents of this family.

Doran Family Dublin

IrishGreatGrands's picture

After many years of searching for confirmation of the birth of my great great grandfather, Thomas Doran, son of Pearse Doran in the parish and city of Dublin circa 1835, I have just discovered a baptism record in the register for Westland Row on 29 Oct. 1834:  Thomas Percival Doran son of Pierce Doran and Mary,  SS James Clarke and Mary Casey. Any help with other relevant records would be appreciated.

Can anyone help with this query.  My great grandparents came from Mourneabbey - John Buckley of Monaparson, b1839 (son of Bartholomew Buckley and Margaret Duggan) and Mary Walsh c1838 of Mourneabbey. I cannot pinpoint a birth for Mary (born around 1838/9) as there are several "candidates".

Searching for Surnames O'Connor and Healy / Haley

ancestrysisters's picture

I am looking to connect with possible relatives of O'Connor and Healy or Haley families.  My roots go back to Annakissy when David O'Connor married Joanna Healy (or Haley) in Annakissy in 1814.  They had 6 children that all moved to Massachusetts in the 1840's - Michael, Mary, Timothy, John, David and Patrick.  I am confident that David's father was named Michael and Joanna's father was Timothy.  My line is John O'Connor who died in Connecticut.
