I am researching my family ancestry / living relatives and so far have the following information:-My father, John Francis Brady was (as per birth certificate) born 1/2/1923, Rathbracks, Kilskeer, Kells, County Meath of parents Joseph Brady (1892-1977) and Margaret Mary Christine Coogan (1894-1986) who were married in the RC church in Kells on the 14th May 1919.
Hi I am looking for information on John (Jackie) Kilcommons born in the USA in 1932 who was brought back to Ballinasloe when his mother died in 1938 his grandparents collected him from the States. He lived in Ballinsaloe until he returned to the states in 1950.I have a record of him sailing on the Queen Mary from Southampton to New York on 04/01/1950.His cousins who all live in the states would dearly love to know what became of him.
I first find Patrick H. O'Brien Jr. in Milwaukee Wi. (1850 US census). He is 18 or 19 living by himself. His parents(Patrick Sr & Mary) w/siblings (Catherine, Bridget, George, Timothy)do live in the same community (Milwaukee's 3rd ward). Patrick's Jr older sister Bridget is already married to a John Brady. From what I seen John & Bridget were married in Ireland although I have no proof of that. John & Bridget move to Freedom but not until about 1857.
I am looking for information on these two families, Sullivan and Casey. I'm guessing they were from Cork, maybe Kerry, but have not been able to accurately locate them. In the US, they were in Charlestown MA, Fall River, MA, Lawrence, MA and Manchester NH.
Jeremiah Sullivan (1832ish-1872): was my great great grandfather, came to Massachusetts around 1850 with his siblings Mary, Ellen and James. Records indicate Jeremiah may have been born sometime around 1832. His parents were listed on his death cert as Daniel and Nora Hanley.
Dear Sir / Ma'am
My maternal great grandfather - Edmond Cuddihy arrived in Australia (Townsville) on 16 Dec 1878, age 22. On both his marriage certificates it states his place of birth as Ballingarry, Tipperary, Ireland and the same place of birth is also listed for 4 of his children. The same place of birth is given on his death certificate issued on 9 Jul 1942 and gives his age as 86 years, 2 months and 4 days so this would equate to his date of birth being approximately 30 April 1856.
I'm looking for siblings of my Great-Grandparents William Carey and Mary Keoghan/Keogan. They were marred in February of 1865 in the Church of the Assumption in Delvin, County Westmeath. His parents, James & Catherine (Hinch) were also married in the same Church in 1834. The only thing is there are no Baptism Records in the Parish Register for either William, b. circa 1841 or Mary, b. circa 1848, or any siblings of either according to the Parish Priest.
My gr-gr-grandmother Sarah Crevey was from Garden Hill, born ca1820. Her mother was Margaret, and she had siblings Thomas, George, William, and Margaret. Thomas was a ribbon man and was transported to Tasmania. Sarah came to Canada, William to the USA; he was last heard of in Missouri in 1868. They were Catholics, but there was a George Cravey who was an elector in Rossory parish, next to Cleenish, in 1751, and all electors at that time were Protestant. I can't imagine an Irish Catholic family naming a son George unless it was a family name.
Searching for the birth place of Henry McMaster born about 1820-21 and brother William born about 1810 in County Armagh. Emigrated to Dundee, Scotland around 1847, perhaps before.
Henry McMaster married Elizabeth Fey 1849 in Dundee. She was also from Ireland, birthplace unknown.
William was married to Martha Gilpen (Gilpin?) born about 1812. William and Martha had a son John born about 1831 in County Armagh.
Henry was a flax hand loom weaver. William was a weaver too.
My great grandfather Michael Regan I believe lived in Buttevant in the 1800s. His parents were Patrick Regan and Mary Horgan. I know that Patrick Regan and Mary Horgan were married 20 Jun 1853. Patrick's place of residence is listed as Charleville. Their children were:
Denis born 1854
David born 1856
Michael born 1858
Margaret 1862 (?)
Trying to make the leap through my brickwall. Sadly, I do not know my GGGGranfather's parents, townland, or exact origins. My Granmother did yeomans work on the family genealogy during the 1940s-50s, and I do have most of het notes. But as with any family, there comes a point where word of mouth and facts tend to differ.
What I know (and have references for):
Patrick McGuire and Sarah (Sallie) Spence were married in Gurnsey County, Ohio in Dec 1823.
There is a Census record that shows the family as:
