My ancestor, Thomas Carscadden, emigrated to Canada in the 1840s. Information on him is lacking but he appears to have been born about 1783. He was married to a Mary Gartley. They had 2 sons and 6 daughters. The oldest son Arthur emigrated first and the remainder of the family, except the mother who had died, emigrated later. The oldest son Arthur, born about 1811, emigrated first. second son, andrew, was born about 1815. I have a church record for an Andrew Corscadden who was baptized Aug 5, 1819 , Church of Ireland. Address given was Largymore, Kilcar.
Hello, I am currently doing information about my family that I recently discovered were from Co. Longford Ireland. The people that I am searching for are my 4th great grandparents. Their names are Patrick Martin and his wife Mary (Brennan) Martin. They were married in Ireland and they both came over in 1822 to St. John New Brunswick (Canada) and they settled on a farm in Grand Falls NB. Patrick was given land in Grand Falls NB. My grandmother thinks that he was in the war of 1812 but we are not sure if that was true.
I have only just learnt that Delia may be another name given to Bridgets. On ancestry I see a Bridget Eliza Harrison died Jan/Mar 1914 age 23 Dublin North. Could this be the Delia Neary who married Alfred Harrison in 1913. Is there any more information out there?

I am searching for information on my ggg-grandparents, FRANCIS McGRATH and ROSE VALLELY. They were the parents of JAMES McGRATH, born c. 1834 in Cladybeg. James emigrated to Ontario, Canada and married there in 1854. At the time of his marriage, James provided information that included his parents names and his place of birth. I have no Irish documentation to support this but also no reason not to believe this information either.
I have searched all available online records and have not found a trace of Francis or Rose McGrath.

I am trying to find out information about Bryan Cowley. My research indicates he was born in approximately 1788, probably in County Meath. We believe his father's name was John Cowley. In approximately the year 1816, he married Mary Flood. Together, they had a son, John, born in 1818. Apparently, Mary died, because in about 1825, he married Margaret Hopkins. Together, they had the following children:
Bernard, in 1827
Daniel in 1830
Thomas F. in 1835 or 1837
Patrick in 1838
Katherine in 1838
Michael in 1846
