O'BOYLE / BOYLE/ NILAND - Emigrated to Doncaster in 1840s

Graham Gallagher's picture

My great grandmother Margaret Boyle was born in Doncaster in 1854 and as an adult moved to Bradford with her widowed mother together with her brothers and sisters. Her parents were Edward BOYLE (c1805) and Mary NILAND (c1819) who were born and married in Ireland. From English census records I’ve been able to find the following information on my ancestors:

Info on Coady/Cuddy & Kenny Familys in Galway

scoady's picture

On my paternal side, I am 3rd generation American descendant of Irish immigrants to Boston.  My grandmother Bridget Kenny (married Patrick Coady) arrived in Boston in 1907 at the age of 18.  She was greeted by her sister Mary Kenny (married Thomas Page) who arrived alone in 1903 at the age of 16.  Both traveled in steerage aboard the Saxonia from Cobh and both spoke English and Irish.  Their parents were James Kenny and Bridget Cottle. My grandmother died at 82 but Mary lived to the very old age of 108.

Looking for descendants of James & Brigid Carstairs

Michael Patterson's picture

Hi, I am trying to trace descendants/relatives of John and Brigid Carstairs who lived in Ballyhoge. They were married, I believe, in 1906. I am named after their son Michael Carstairs who born 1919 and whose birth was registered in Enniscorthy. Michael was killed in action 1942 providing cover for Arctic convoys on the British naval ship HMS Somali. He was married to my late Aunt Marjorie from Sheerness, England. He died aged 23 and had no children. I would love to know whether he had siblings, cousins or other relatives whose descendants are still alive.

Creighton/Cassidy Lisbellaw - Happy New Year!

James McCarthy's picture

My great grandparents, John Creighton and Martha Haire, son John Creighton born June 14, 1856 in Lisbellaw, married Ellen Ann Cassidy, born 1849, daughter of William Henry Cassidy. Emigrated to US and married in New Haven, CT in 1874.

Any info or advice is much appreciated.

Thanks and Happy New Year,
