Ireland XO seeks to hire a training officer for 2,000 Irish parish-based volunteers providing a free “Meet & Greet” service to people from around the world seeking to trace their roots in Ireland.

When people of Irish Heritage arrive in Ireland seeking to find out where their people came from, we not only want to make sure someone is there to meet them, but also want to make sure that everyone in Ireland doing the greeting have the training necessary to give a warm knowledgeable welcome, and quality advice. To make sure this can happen across Ireland, Ireland XO are seeking to employ a full-time training officer for one year to be based in our HQ office in Loughrea, Co Galway. We don't have the resources or funding necessary to create this position so we are turning to our supporters who share our vision and want to see our vision of a reunited Irish Diaspora happen.

Today, we are launching a web-based crowd-sourcing initiative to fund this post. Funding a position like this is new to us, but we have exhausted other sources of funding, (including Irish government funding) available and noting how successful others have been to raise funding in this way, we have developed this exciting campaign.
