Kilkeel is stated as "narrow church/church of the narrow". It would be a main fishing port on the Down coast, it does have a harbour which stations a lot of fleets. The population of the area is 6338 people. The town consists of a church built in the 14th century also there are shops and winding streets with in the town itself. A settlement of Maghereagh lies near the parish.
