When I search " Roots " (paid) . . . I looked firstly at . . Griffiths Valuations (1847 - 1864 ) ..a property tax roll

I found the following MICHAEL COYNE . . as tenants . . in Ballinakill, Galway

All registered in CLIFDEN . . . ( possibly the nearest place of registration for Ballnakill )

Next I searched an earlier Tax Roll . . . called . . . Tithes Applotment ( 1823 - 1837)

With the spelling Catherine . . . I found the following . . .

It lists Michael as . . . Ballinakill . . . but unfortunately no Parish is listed for Catherine  . . . 

Witness are listed as . . . John Joyce . . . and Bridget Folan . .

I suspect . . if she was married in Carraroe  . . . then . . most likely . . she came from Carraroe . . rather than Rahoon. .
