Denis Kilmartin and Margarette Gilmore Kilmartin

My great-great grandparents came to the  US from Irelad in approximately 1853.  They were both Catholic so I am hoping that my best chance of finding where in Ireland they lived is church records.  I have no idea what parish.

    This site shows your where surnames were found in the mid-19th century. http://www.swilson.info/sdist.php   You can see which counties were most prominent for Kilmartin and Gilmore.

    I checked for a marriage record on Roots Ireland and did not see a record. Many parishes do not have records prior to 1850. Did they have children in Ireland?

    Have you considered autosomal DNA testing?
