Looking for any information on Thomas Coleman, born abt 1804 in Ireland, county unknown. His occupation was mason. Presumably came to the US before 1846 (birth of 1st child). Married Rachel, last name unknown, in NY. Died in New York City abt 1852.

    There are a number of Thomas Coleman baptismal records around 1804 and many parishes do not have records back to the first decade of the I9th century. We would need to know the parents names in order to confirm any of the records.

    The surname Coleman is primarily found in Co. Cork but there were good numbers in other counties also in the 19th century.

    Have you considered an autosomal DNA test?

    Unfortunately,I have very little information about Thomas Coleman. If I find a clue to his parents names, I'll post more.

    I have done DNA testing, but haven't found a connection with Thomas yet.
