A commemorative night will be held for the school and community of Castletownbere on the 28th April, 2016, commencing at 19:00.
Gabriel Doherty of the School of History, U.C.C. plus other guest speakers will be present and music will be performed by local musicians as well as the singer songwriter Jimmy Crowley. In turn Irish dance will be performed by the students of Scoil Phobail Bhéara. A commemorative plaque by local artist Brian O' Sullivan will be also be unveiled on the night.
