I am looking for information on John Flynn 1813-1906, and his wife Ellen O'Connell 1825-1905. This couple died and were buried in Dane county, Wisconsin.  Their tombstone says they were natives of Cork Ireland.  I believe the were mariied in Cork about 1850.  They were parents of eleven children, the first Mary Flynn born about 1853 in Cork.  They other children were born in Wisconsin, so I think they left Ireland about 1854.  Thanks for any help you can give me.

Unfortunately after a lot of searching, I was unable to find any a marriage record or a baptismal record for Mary. Normally, researching Co. Cork church records around 1850 is fairly simple since most parishes have records available. There are two sites to research. www.irishgenealogy.ie is a free site which has the RC records for the parishes in the Diocese of Cork and Ross. The other Diocese if the Diocese of Cloyne and their records are on a subscription site Roots Ireland.

Not sure where to go from here. Have you considered autosomal DNA testing?
