Searching for home parish of David Keneally or similar spelling, born 1818 and married Hanorah Murphy. Immigrated to USA 1840 aboard Barque Governor Douglas from Cobh.

Your surname as you know has many variants. Go to this Irish Times web site to see the variant names and where they were located in the mid-19th century. http://www.irishtimes.com/ancestor/surname/
I searched the two sites which have Co. Cork church records and did not find anything around 1818 for David. The best I could find was an 1814 record in Co. Waterford.
The two sites are www.irishgenealogy.ie which has the records for the Diocese of Cork and Ross and Roots Ireland a subscription site which has the church records for the rest of Cork.
It is also possible that David was from another county and left from Cobh.
