I am looking for information about Hamilton Peacock logan and his family. He married Jane davidson on 27 march 1816 at the presbyterian church killinchy. He and jane had 4 children mary (1816-1890), james b. 13 january 1818, joseph (1819-1877) and ann jane b. 18 july 1822 all born in killinchy. Jane passed away on 21 jan 1851in bangor age 70, where i have found her grave. Peacock lived in bally mullen ? at that time. can anyone help me trace his roots or his where abouts later in his life?

    One of the issues with such an early search, as I'm sure you know, is that often times the parish records are not available for that pre-Famine era. 

    There are some Logan listings on the Griffith's Valuation in Killinchy, though it would be difficult to say if they are the same family as listed below in 1863. Logan seems to be a name very much connected with that parish::

  • Hi you will find his first name may have been Hamilton Peacock Logan,i found a mention that he attended the wedding of my relatives at the killinchy church of John Mcillwrath and Jane Logan  6 dec 1834 with a alexander mcilwrath of comber,Janes fathers name was William Logan from tullynagee, that George in the above census ,most likey the brother of Jane Logan
