My name is Brendan Barry. I'm 47yo father of 2 living in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
I'm trying to trace my family's origins from Ireland. My earliest known relative is James Barry b. 1855 in Dublin?
He emigrated to the UK and married in 1878 to a Bridget Lynch?, and they lived in/around Manchester.
Sadly, he was killed in a mining accident in 1891. His heartbroken widow left the UK for Australia with her young brood where the family has lived ever since.
I've attached what records I can find, but anything that anyone could add regarding James Barry and his ancestors would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
www.irishgenealogy.ie is a free irish government site which has church records for Dublin city (and a few counties). I would look for James' baptismal record on that site. However, you would really need his parents names or at a minimum his father's name to confirm if you have the correct record.
