My ancestor is Hugh George McFatridge, though one record says McFetridge, his father was Robert "McFettridge" who was born in 1731 in Fermanagh, Northern Ireland.
Hugh George McFatridge was also born in 1761 in Fermanagh, Northern Ireland.
He married Catherine "Kitty" Holmes. He bought 200 acres of land in Mercer County Pennesylavina (PA) on Nov. 2, 1799 and he said he has previously resided in Allegheny County PA. They had 9 children.
They were charted members of the Methodist Church in Mercer County.
He died 20 April 1839 and is buried at the Old Salem Church Cementary in Mercer County PA. This is everything I know and I would love to know his mother and his ancestry. Also, any information about his wife.

Methodism didn’t become established as a separate denomination in Ireland till 1816. Prior to that it’s members would normally have used the Church of Ireland. Unfortunately there are hardly any Church of Ireland records for Co Fermanagh for the 1700s. So they won’t be easy to trace.
McFatridge (and variants) is not a common surname in Fermanagh. There aren’t any in the 1901 census of the county, nor any in Griffiths Valuation (c 1860).
