Unfortunately, the RC records for Attymass do not begin until 1874 so if the Ruddys were from that parish, churcj records will not be available. I don't know if Michael Ruddy stayed in Ireland and was alive in 1855-1856 but the Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for Attymass civil parish shows a Michael Ruddy in Corradrishy townland. Possibly this is your ancestor.

There was one Ruddy family in the 1901 census for Corradrishy. Not sure how they connect back to your family.
