I responded to your earlier message. The records are not online and the marriage was well before 1845 when civil registration started for non-Catholic marriages. I found a site for a Presbyterian church near Monaghan town. Suggest you contact them and see if there is a central paper repository in Monaghan for 19th century church records.

Ballyalbany is sometimes known as 2nd Monaghan Presbyterian church. Their baptisms start in 1802; marriages 1807-1830 and 1845 onwards (intervening years marriage records are lost).

There’s a copy of those records in PRONI (the public record office) in Belfast. I don’t think they are on-line anywhere.

Thanks Elwyn. I have sent an email to the church but have not received a reply. I will also look into the PRONI records if I can find them on line as I am in Canada.

Can’t say whether you will get a reply to your e-mail to the church or not. Many churches here get far more genealogical enquiries than they can cope with. Sadly, but understandably, not all get dealt with.

The church records at PRONI are not on-line. They are in microfilm format and you need go and search them in person. (Or employ someone else to do that for you). They are free to view..
