Moore History Group were awarded a grant from The Heritage Council to record the headstones in Moore South Graveyard in the summer of 2015. John Tierney (Eachtra Archaelogical Projects) provided training in the recording of headstones and 20 volunteers availed. Later, each headstone was photographed and inscription typed on the Historic Graves website, www.historicgraves.com. In addition, we have included, where known, the townland of the people commemorated and maiden names of women interred.
We hope the publication of headstone inscriptions from Moore South Graveyard will benefit family history researchers.
