My grandfather, Patrick Armstrong was born in Curry about 1874. His parents were Patrick Armstong and Anges Gallagher. The family may have later moved to England. He had a brother , Luke ( 1862-1920), who emigrated to the U.S. in 1885 and my grandfather follwed after that. Any information would be appreciated.

Curry is within Achonry civil parish which in turn is within the Tobercurry registration district. The only birth records for a Patrick Armstrong in Tobercurry in that period were in 1865, 1867 and 1877.
Curry RC records start in 1867. I searched on Roots Ireland in the Curry records and could not locate a baptismal record from 1867-1887 where the surname was Armstrong, the father was Patrick and the mother's surname was Gallagher.
On July 8th, the National Library of Ireland will place all RC parish registers online for free searching. I would check the Curry records at that time.
