    Welcome to ireland Reaching Out!

I searched on Find My Past for church baptismal records for John Quinn/Quin and there were at least ten around 1828. I went thru the records and did not see a record with a birthdate around May 14th.Without having his parents names we can't confirm any of the records. Also not all parishes have records back to 1828.

Have you considered autosomal DNA testing?

  • Roger,

Yes, I did the Ancestry DNA test and have found several relative in the states related to Margaret and John. None of us have any information on John. I have not received any matches from anyone living outside of the U.S.

  • Tom, the marriage record is interesting. It is filed as Corring, but if you look closely, you'll see that this is the record for John Quinn and Margaret Carrig. Is there any way to have that corrected?

    Thank you,

    Barbara
