I am seeking information on CATHERINE KELLEHER NEE MAHONY, whose husband PATRICK was a baker in Clonmel.

Catherine Kelleher (shopkeeper) died in 1909 at 83 Irishtown Clonmel.  On the 1911 census her four children , John, Thomas, Mary & Bridget were living at this address & John & Thomas were bakers.  Also living there were Catherine's granddaughters, Margaret & Mary Kelleher, who appeared to be the children of Thomas.

My research leads me to believe that MARGARET KELLEHER married WILLIAM O'DONOGHUE, a draper's assistan,t in  Waterford Cathedral in 1929 & that they went on to have five children, Timothy M (1930), Philomena M (1932), Thomas (1934), William F (1935) & Margaret (1942).

If anyone can help with any information, particularly about Catherine, who was my great grandfather's sister, I would be very grateful.

  • Many thanks for this Roger. I will now do some research on the witness Mary Power as Catherine had a sister Mary & this may be her.
