Are you passionate about your local community? Do you have an interest in genealogy and tracing your family tree? Would you like to share your knowledge with a global audience?
If you answered 'Yes, that's me!' to the above, then you have come to the right place. Ireland Reaching Out in an exciting new project, sponsored by the Irish Government and aimed at reconnecting people of Irish heritage from around the world with their home towns and parishes.
We need volunteers on the ground to help us build up a picture of who left Ireland, and where they went to.
Through national and local records, we are identifying who emigrated from Ireland, tracing them and their descendants across the world. In this way, local Irish communities can be expanded to virtual communities engaging all of their people worldwide. The Ireland XO project is set to become one of the largest voluntary and community programmes in Ireland and we welcome your support.
