Welcome to Clonallan (Down)

We are working on this parish page and will add content here shortly. Feel free to post your message and we will respond as soon as possible. Remember to post as much information as you can with regard to the people you are researching. The more information you post, the more likely it is that one of our volunteers will be able to advise or assist you. Also include information concerning which sources you may have already used so others may further your search.

Please be patient - as our programme has only begun to roll out across the island of Ireland and volunteers in some areas may not yet be organised.

Thank you

Clonallon is in the barony of Upper-Iveagh, and is near Newry, in the parish there is a post town called Warrenspoint, the population of the area totals 8630 people. Marketing in the area is mostly oyster fish and a lot of people consume that product particularly on a Friday, the main industry is on the coast where people are employed there to do fishing. The people mainly get herrings from the sea by the coast. And they come in big bulks of the shore.
