TULLA WEEKEND OF THE WELCOMES 2017

When: Thursday, 24 August, 2017

The Tulla Reaching Out committee as part of the Ireland Reaching Out project have held a Weekend of the Welcomes since 2013. This event has fallen during Heritage Week as we encourage all to participate in the celebration of our local heritage and culture through a variety of events. The Ireland Reaching Out project seeks to re-connect the global diaspora with their ancestral parish. To date, Tulla Reaching Out has welcomed back more than 200 people from all over the world who can trace their ancestry back to the parish of Tulla. All events are free and we welcome all participants. Please join us for any event during the weekend.

Kellys eye up a return to County Clare

The last time the Clan visited this lovely area was in 2011. Many of the Clan members attending will be travelling from USA, Australia, New Zealand and the UK - not to mention one member who comes from Guatamala!

Wild Foods from the Burren

When: Sunday, 4 October, 2015

October is traditionally a month of harvest so it's perfect timing for a walk with Oonagh O'Dwyer of www.wildkitchen.ie on the "˜Wild Foods from the Burren". Oonagh is a local forager and organic grower and will speak about the food which is all around us; wild food is seasonal, local, nutritious and free, beneficial to human health and can be used as food medicine.
