Anne Keegan was born on July 14, 1890, in Ballykeenaghan, Rahan, Tullamore, Co Offaly, Ireland.  She emigrated to America in 1908.  Anne Keegan married Carl S Neverman in Manhattan, New York, on January 25, 1912, when she was 21 years old.  Anne lived in New Jersey and never returned to Ireland during her life.  She was 76 years old when she died.

Two of her grandchildren made the journed to Ireland this year to find where their grandmother left from in Co Offaly.  They visited the site where their grandmother came from, also the Church in Killina where their Grandmother was Baptised and to the Graveyard in Rahan where their Great Grand parents are buried.

The also met up with some of the Keegan cousins - a most enjoyable occasion.

    I am a Keegan descended from Ballymacormick, Co Longford Keegan, circa 1800.

    I am a researcher of Aedacain with a starting point at Clonmacnoise, Co Offaly, 834 up until the last Mac Aodhagain Brehon, early 17th century. The Aedacains were Religious Leaders, Clan Marshals, Brehons and capturers and writers of Irish History. I will present a Paper on my findings hopefully later this year.

    In relation to Anne Keegan, I have in my collection a record of Keegan, Irish Census, 1901, being at Ballykeenaghan. Anne Keegan is listed, b. 1892.
