Annie Williams was born in Birr, County Offaly to Joseph Williams (1817-1887) and Eliza Belcher (1807-1907). Immigrated to the US (New York) and in 1875 married John Smith (1834-1912) originally from Yorkshire, UK.
Her siblings: Joseph Williams (1843-1931) immigrated to Bradford, Yorkshire, UK; Francis Williams (1852-1938) appears to have remained in Birr and married Elizabeth Smith (ABT 1861-AFT. 1938) in July 1903 in Birr (2nd marriage for her. Had daughter, Elizabeth Smith (born 1897, death unknown); John Williams (1842-1913) married Mary Anne Horan/Horey (1846-1914) in 1866 and moved to Galway; eventually emigrated to US (Bronx, New York in early 1900s).
Her parents both died in County Offaly and are buried in Clonoghill Cemetery. Son, Francis Williams (ABT 1852-1938) also buried in same cemetery.
