Bridget Quigley is my paternal great grandmother. She was my grandfather's mother. She was baptized March 25, 1844. One source says she was baptized in the parish of Aglish with godparents Marin McNulty and Bridget Mullowney. Another says she was baptized in the parish of Castlebar on the same date.

She immigrated to America at the approximate age of 20. One source says her mother may have followed her to America a few years later.

She married William Hugh Bennett and is said to have lived a period of time in Peru, Indianna. A geneologist found sources that suggested she gave birth to between 7-10 children of which only 3 lived any length of time. Of those one died in 1909 and another, William H junior, died in 1914. Stephen James Bennett, the third son married Maude Elaine Rollings and had two sons, Clifton and Richard. Richard died without children in 2007 and Clif is still alive (2017) and had two children, a daugher Lora and a son Eric.

According to my father Bridget died approximately 1923 in New York City.
