Kate married Edmond Doherty in Cappawhite on Feb. 15, 1835. Their son Jeremiah Doherty, b. 1859, is my husband's great-grandfather.
Jeremiah Doherty married Julia Ryan, daughter of William Ryan and Mary Hays. Family immigrated to Brooklyn, NY in 1908. Jeremiah died in 1924, Julia Ryan Doherty died in 1925.
Their daughter Mary Ann Doherty, b. 1888, married John C. Miles. Mary died in New Jersey in 1964.
