Searching for my paternal great-grandfather and his family. He immigrated to Canada and then the US, where he resided in Chicago until appr. 1918. After that the trail is cold. He married Catherine McCauley in 1892 in Chicago.
His death date is uncertain, nor is the location.
As far back as we get is his father Charles Kieran / Kyran Bowe / Bowes (the spellings vary on church documents). He married Honora "Nera / Nora Honey" Carroll. She is from Offely. They resided in Laois or Queen's Co.
Charles and Honora were both born in 1830. They had another son, Patrick.
Charles died in 1872. We have no death date for Honora.
