Con was was born Dec 1899, to Pats Leary and Kate Riordan.
He attended the old Glen National School from1906- 1914 and even learned Algebra at primary level.
He was also a member of the local I.R.A.with his brother Thomas.He was part of the crew that manned his father's fishing boat and earned £19 from a big haul of fish they caught near Puffin Island in Sept 1919.
Con went to the States to join his sisters in Nov.1924. He married Bridie Hayes in 1934 and they had 2 children.
Con worked on the railway most of his life. He died on Feb 15th 1957 a month before I started school.
