This photo shows myy Great Grandad, Daniel Thomas Egan (1849-1926), with my Great Grandmother, Lizzie Agnes Fahy (1870-1950), and their children the eldest of whom is my grand mother, Mary Philomenia Egan.

Daniel Egan and Lizzie with family NebraskaThe photo was taken in their ranch house at Hyanis, Nebraska, USA. Dan's first house was a "soddie" or small home made out of turf from the prairie. My grandmother told stories told to her by her mother Lizzie of the Native American Indians riding up on ponies and watching them at the sod house.

Occupation Danny Egan arrived in the US from the Woodford area in 1879. He met up with his Uncle, Tommy (Thomas RIchard Lynch, 1842-1901) and found work on the railroad. He later homesteaded in Nebraska, and was a cattle rancher.
Place of Death Dan died 11 February 1926 in Hyannis, Fremont County US.
