This death notice for Thomas Fallon in the San Francisco Call Bulletin of 12 April 1909 is the only hint I have as to the origin of my ancestor, Edward Fallon, other than simply Roscommon.  Based on a DNA match with a descendant of Thomas Fallon and a lot of circumstantial evidence tying Thomas and Edward, I believe they were brothers.  They are on a passenger list together in 1856, lived briefly in the same rooming house in Brookline, MA and were naturalized in Boston, on the same day and supported by the same witnesses.  Later, they worked in the same factory in San Francisco, and for many years lived 2 houses apart on Duncan Street in San Francisco.

Edward married Margaret Sheehan in West Roxbury, MA in 1860.  His parents are listed as Thomas and Mary Fallon. Interestingly, Thomas was not a marriage witness, though it is possible he preceded Edward to San Francisco t about that time.

Trying to trace back to Taghmaconnell, there were Thomases and Edwards  in 5 Townlands on the 1855 Griffiths' Valuations for Taghmaconnell Civil Parish.  Jumping to the next set of records, the 1901 and 1911 Censuses, only available for the Townlands of Turlaghmore and Taghmaconnell in the Taghmaconnell CP, the elders are Michael, Patrick, Matthew and John, so no obvious connection.

Might anyone have any leads I might pursue to connect my Thomas/Edward with those on Griffith's and with present-day relations?  Many thanks.  Susan Wight, St. Helena, California
