FRANCES WRIXON was born in County Cork in 1780.
In 1806 Frances arrived in Australia on board the ship, Lady Madeleine Sinclair, as a free person.
Frances married JOHN BENT on the 19 June 1820 (from Fr. Therry's Register, St. John's Catholic Church, Campbelltown New South Wales).
John had been transported to Australia on the ship Atlas II, in 1802, as an Irish Rebel from County Wexford.
Frances & John had the following children:
Mary born 1811. . . Judith 1813. . . Frances 1820. . . John Beecher Bent 1821.
I have little information on Frances. . . however, because she gave the christian name of Beecher to her son, and that tradition continued for many generations, I believe that Frances must have a connection with the Beecher/Wrixon families of County Cork.
Frances died 15 July 1852, aged 72, and is buried with her husband at St. John's Catholic Pioneer Cemetery, Campbelltown, New South Wales, Australia.
