George McConnell was from Ballytyrone and married to Jane Henry. They and their children emigrated to London Township, Upper Canada, after the War of 1812, and have hundreds of descendants living today.
The McConnell's were seat-holders in the Anglican church in 1776 in Row 21.
A David McConnell is listed in Ballytyrone in the Hearth Money Rolls of 1664.
