James was born in Co Cavan in 1858, the son I think of Mary and John.

He joinned the RIC and was posted round Ireland.

He married Mary Agnus Flynn in 1885 in Galway, had three sons and four daughters and retired in Galway. His children were called Mary Rose, Frances Jane,John Edward, Delly Agnes, James Micheal, Joseph Alfred and Gertrude Agnes. 

James passed away 1939 College rd Galway.

  • The 1911 Census record for this man states he lived at house 34 Bohermore Galway and was a retired RIC member at this time. 

    His place of birth was Co. Cavan. His wife and children on the Census record are as above.

    This man is a brother of my Grandfather - Philip Donohoe of Corr, Cornafean, Co. Cavan

    Their parents were Edward Donohoe and Rose Blake.
