Hi,

I'm looking for info on my 2nd Great Grandfather, James G. Malloy. He was born 01 February 1844. He was from Donegal. According to the 1900 US census, James arrived in New York in 1864. There was a James Malloy arriving in New York from Liverpool, England on the ship "Gratitude" in 1864. I have recently obtained a copy of his death certificate. The document lists his father as Connell Malloy. His mother's maiden surname is listed as Campbell. Unfortunately, her first name is not listed. I have no other information about him.

I am finally realizing my lifelong dream of visiting Ireland! I will arrive on 24 Aug 2018. If possible, I would love to visit the place where my ancestors lived and pay my respects to those that rest in Donegal! If you have any information or stories about the Malloy family in Donegal I would love to hear from you!

I know the date of travel to Donegal is coming up fairly soon within the next two weeks, I want to try and see if I can help you in any way with your search. I have a few bits of information on Molloy family findings that may be of interest and worth thinking about prior to your visit.
