James Hegarty, married to Minnie Shannon Hegarty. Married in Schull in 1873. Protestant. They emigrated to New York soon after marriage possibly via Canada. Lived in Oswego, NY and then moved to Chicago, Illinois. He died in Chicago and his body was sent back to be buried in Oswego. Had his name in the Oswego newspaper for beating his neighbor, his wife, and not providing for his family.
