Hi everyone, my name is dympna lynch, my great grandfather cane from Donegal, cannot find his birth details, he states a Bernard lynch was his father in his marriage records to a kate connaugton from Ballinasloe co Galway, 1925.. he died in 1962, in Ballinasloe , co Galway..on his obituary they mention a Rose Anne or Rosealeen. He was in the war of independence, joined Irish army in 1922, states there that next of kin is Rose Anne lynch from buncrana. I match her great great grandchild on ancestry but I cannot find James' birth details at all.. would love some help, they also called him Liam but it Janes in his death and marriage certificates.. if I have the right Janes for military records, he states he originally came from moville Donegal.. says on obituary he was 78 when he died, which would make his birth details 1884.
