I am not sure where James was born but he married  Mary McNally in Haggardstown Parish  Armagh in 1845. James was Slater and moved to Liverpool to work on the docks sometime after he was married to Mary. So in the late 1840s. They had 3 children in Liverpool. James 1848, Mary 1849, and Thomas 1852. It is thought that James went to Liverpool with his brother Thomas who was also a slater. Both families subsequently had roofing and slating businesses in Liverpool.  We have reached the end of our source data in Ireland so any other information would be greatfully recieved.
