Migrated to/Born in USA

Born 1843-1844, died 4 Oct1911. James was a widower and a landholder in Cloonfower townland when he married Mary Shanley in February 1874. Believe he first married Jane Cox in 1870. She died 1871. James' father was John Mitchell, landholder in Cloonfower. He was already deceased when James married in 1874. I do not know his mother's name. James and Mary emigrated to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania US around 1881-1882. James may have emigrated first. They had 3 children in Philadelphia: my grandfather James Joseph Mitchell (1885-1952), Ellen/Helen (1886-1955) and Catherine (1889-1943). James died 4 Oct 1911 in Philadelphia. Based on a DNA match, there appears to be a connection between my Mitchells and an Owen Mitchell (circa 1820) of Cloonaufill townland.
