Born July 6, 1842, County Mayo to Dominick Roach/Roache and Bridget Mulloy. Emigrated to the USA, filed declaration of Intent to become US citizen in Dane Co, Wi 1871.
Married Anna Marie Bradley in Madison, Wi---moved to Chicago, then to Red Oak, Iowa, 13 children born to this farmer and his wife. He died in Red Oak, IA August 1929.
James came to the USA with his sister Bridget, who married Patrick C Higgins in Madison, Wi. She was born in 1844 died in 1875 in Savanna, IL.
Another sister stayed in Ireland, Mary--b 1841, d 1917. She married William Kilgallen.
A brother Michael also stayed in Ireland b. abt 1828. He married Honora Murphy and lived in Castlebar, Co Mayo, Ireland.
