John Ganly was married to Margaret Diegnam/Dugnan. They had 3 sons, Thomas, James and George. George Ganley was baptized in September of 1841 in Cloonscott, Parish Carrickedmond. He married Marcella Nally in 1862. They had a daughter Margaret who died shortly after birth. George and Marcella immigrated to America in 1863.
