John J Sheridan was the son of Patrick Sheridan and Bridget McLaughlin. He was born in Sept of 1867 on the family farm in Kiltrone, Mayo, Ireland. John emmigrated to American, arriving in Boston, MA on 15 May 1891 aboard the SS Scythia. On 17 June 1906 John married Ellen Rooney in Roxbury, MA. They settled in Somerville where they raised their 4 children. John died in Somervill on 15 Feb 1934. He is buried in St. Patricks Cemetery, Watertown, MA.
