Place of migration
Migrated to/Born in South Africa

Greetings!  This is a picture of my wifes great great grandfather born 25 August 1850 in Ahoghill, Down, Ireland.  The photo is taken in South Africa, circa 1940 where he passed away.

I would be interested in connecting with people conducting research in the Ahoghill, and Down county ... specifically with the surname LAW in mind.

Kind regards,

Steven

  • Greetings Kendra :)

That is very interesting.  I have done an extensive family tree, which includes several LAW's who emigrated to the USA and Canada.  We currently living in Vancouver, Canada.  I would gladly add you to my family tree.  Perhaps after viewing you may find a connection?

I know that when the LAW's went to Glasgow around 1870's, they were married in the Free Church of Ireland.  I am not up on the ease with which they may have changed denominations, etc.

If you send me your email, I can add you to the MyHeritage tree I have.

    Keep in touch :)
