John Robert Higginson (1848-1908) of Drumshanbo was a publican/shopkeeper on Main Street, Drumshanbo and also a whitesmith. His family were members of the Church of Ireland. 

In 1911, his widow, Jane Tynan Higginson*, was living in Lahard, Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim. Her granddaughter, Charlotte Thomas (dau. of Harriet) was with her.

*Not to be confused with Jane Boyd Higginson (1866-1921) of Sligo who was the wife of  John's brother Thomas Higginson (1856-1931) of Cornamudda, Drumshanbo)
