Julia (Judy) was born to Patrick/Charles and Honor Butler in 1816. Honor's maiden name was Kennedy.
Julia worked as a servant most likely in Galway until 1840 where she was arrested and convicted of Larceny. On Nov 27 1840 Julia was transported aboard the 'Mary Anne' to Van Dimen's Land (Tasmania Australia).
In 1842 Julia married a fellow convict Cornelius Loxton, they had 10 children togeather before Corneliu's death in 1873 and Julia's in 1882.
