Migrated to/Born in South Africa

The image is apparently a family photo of my Great Great Grandparents - Martin & Mary (Nee Thornton) Flynn. They had quiet a few children, the main aim of my profile is to track down birth & baptism records of my Great Grandfather (their son), Patrick Flynn, said to be born around 10 November 1858 in County Cork.

He migrated to South Africa as an Irish Settler in his late youth or early adult life to work on the gold mine in Kimberley, which at the time was a British Colony in the Republic of South Africa. He later relocated with his wife Henrietta Elizabeth Gibson to the Boer republic of the Transvaal to work at a farm stall. Sadly at around the age of 37 he was beaten to death. It is quiet possible that the family relocated to County Claire when Patrick was a child. Any documents serving as proof of his birth and baptism, or even records of his parents, Martin & Mary would be greatly appreciated.
