Patrick Ledwith was the son of Garret Ledwith and Mary Fallon. He was probably born in Ballyloughloe. On February 2nd, 1839 he married in Drumraney Mary Allen, daughter of William Allen and Elizabeth Rourke. They had nine children who were born between 1840 and 1860 and were baptized in Ballyloughloe. He migrated to Argentina between 1861 and 1868 with his family where he worked in the camp. He died on July 29th, 1893.
