Patrick Michael Kane : Short Biography

Patrick lived his life in County Galway.  He died in 1845, but his birth date is not known.  He married Mary Ellen McCarthy (1780-1846). They had a son Anthony who left for America after both his parents died. 

After the death of Patrick's grandson, Matthew John Kane, in a memoriam, Patrick was described "a steward for the estate of Lord Blaksley in Clifton (sic), Galway County, Ireland . . . " This is the only information i have been able to find on him.  The name of Clifden was clearly misspelled, so it is safe to assume that "Blaksley" was also misspelled.
