  • I have Scally, Gavican, Noone, Connaughton, Fallon , Gallagh, Weekfield, Cloontuskert in my family tree.  I went to Weekfield school with Seamus Scally From Gallagh.  He had a sister called Mary.  Semus will be about 75 years of age now.

  •

Patrick is also my 4th great Grandfather.
Did you manage to get over to Roscommon or find out any further information?

I was in ireland this week sadly didn't have enough time to stay and find out anything else about our family history

I believe for his father Francis there will be no records. Have you found other records?

  • Thanks so much for this info.
I have a paper that had only francis scally came to Nantwich pre 1845.
i visited their home (now a cafe on love lane) and had a beer in the white horse pub that they lived in when coming to England.
I’d love to hear more about Gallagh cloontuskert and your travels. Have fun walking in their footsteps.
hopefully one day I will do the same. Best wishes michelle.
