Paul Casserly of Kilcorkey was related to Thomas and Edward Gormely of Bellanagare. On three occasions in 1843, Paul Casserly signed as a guarantor for their Poverty Relief applications to the Frenchpark Loan Fund Society.

Paul Casserly was possibly related to the Gormelys through Bryan Casserly of Carrowreagh who had the largest land-holding in the townland in 1830 (c.f. Lawrence Gormely of Carrowreagh 1749).

In 1830, Paul Casserly had 6 acres on the skirts of the bog at Luggakeeran. By 1857, he had moved to better land at #1 Kilcorkey where he had a smallholding of 8 acres, at farm #1a (around the corner from the Old Corn & Tuck Mill).

Sometime after 1878, it became the family home of Winifred Kilbride of Clonfinglas and Owen Kennedy (1836-1915) previously of Kilvoy in 1865 through 1878)
