Bob was born in the townland of Drumcrow in the parish of Tickmacrevan, County Antrim.
His parents were David Morrow and Mary Jane Watt.
He had 6 brothers and 3 sisters - Margaret (aka Maggie or Peggy), John (aka Jack), Daniel (aka Dan), James (aka Jim), David (aka Dave), Mary, William (aka Bill), Elizabeth Jane (aka Betty), and Thomas (aka Tommy).
In May of 1910, the Morrows left their family farm behind and headed to Liverpool, England where they boarded the Lake Manitoba and sailed to Quebec City, Canada. They arrived there on May 22, 1910 and then boarded a train for Winnipeg, Manitoba, where David had relatives. They arrived there on May 26, 1910.
Both Peggy (M. David Wilson) and Mary (m. Jack Leighton) moved to Vancouver, British Columbia after their marriages. Bill eventually moved to Los Angeles, California USA with his wife Alberta May Morrow (nee Sangster). All of Bob's other siblings lived out their lives in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
Bob's profile picture was taken when he was 22 years old, and a private in the Lord Strathcona Horse Royal Canadian (cavalry) in World War I.
1963
When Bob retired at age 65, he and his wife Elsie took a trip to England, Scotland, Ireland and Northern Ireland, to revisit their childhood homes and reunite with relatives. This photo was taken at the former Morrow family farm in Drumcrow, County Antrim, Northern Ireland.
