
Son of Denis Gannon and Mary Stapleton (We believe Denis younger brother of Gilbert Gannon). Not sure who Mary's relations are nor Denis's parents.
Born December 1825. Eldest child. Killukin & Killumod. (Ballycullen).

Worked as a Clerk before joining the EICA and leaving Ireland for India (Madras) October 1849. He never returned to Ireland.
His family emigrated to USA (ended up in Stockton, San Joaquin, California) except for his father Denis, who we believe died in Ireland or UK waiting to get to USA.
Thomas married 1854 then again in 1855. His first wife, Mary Anne O'Riordan died a few months after marriage in 1854. He married the following year to Margaret Frances (Mary?) Gilbert. Children: Denis George (1857), Margaret Frances (1858), Harriett Augusta (1861), John Ignatius(1865), James Gilbert (1869),
